About Northeast BJJ

The Northeast BJJ Association was created to foster the community of Association schools under 4th degree Black Belt Roberto Maia. Northeast BJJ currently consists of 12 schools, with 30 black belts instructors and over 600 students. The Association also provides benefits and events for all students of Association schools. Association students can also sign-up for premium memberships to recieve additional benefits and discounts (online sign-up below).

Association Benefits and Events for All Students

Students enrolled at an Association school are automatically "members" of the Associaiton. Being a member of the Association gives students the opportunity to train at over a dozen Association schools, and access to other Association benefits and events.

 
  • Training at Association Schools: Two days of free training per month away from your home school at any other school in the Association.
  • Black Belt Instructor Seminars: Seminars led by multiple Association Black Belt instructors, teaching to students in small groups.
  • Guest Instructor Seminars: Guest instructor seminars taught by world champion competitors and coaches.
  • In-House Tournaments: Organized, safe and fun tournaments for Association students held at Association schools.
  • Barbecues: Brazilian style BBQ’s held after certain Association events.
  • Tournament Training: Organized tournament training classes run by Black Belt's w/competition experience.
  • Group Trips: Organized trips to events, inluding international tournaments, seminars at Association schools outside of New England.

 

Premium Association Membership

Students at Association schools have the option to sign up for a "premium" membership. In addition to all the benefits that all Association students receive, premium members receive priority (early) event registration and additional discounts that will save them an average of $10-30 per event! (...the Association hosts over a dozen events for students per year!). Premium members also have access to the Association's online Video Library.

 
  • Online Video Library: Premium members have access to the Association's comprehensive video library. The library contains hundreds of jiu-jitsu techniques taught by our instructors, and is updated regularly. Library also includes video from black belt seminars, guest instructor seminars, in-house tournaments and in-class training sessions. (Click the link to a see sample of the video library)
  • Black Belt Instructor Seminars: Premium members recieve priority registration, video of black belt seminars and discount of $10-$20
  • Guest Instructor Seminars: Premium members recieve priority registration, video of guest instructor seminars and discount of $10-$30
  • In-House Tournaments: Premium members recieve priority registration, video of all tournament matches and discount of $10-$15
  • Barbecues: Premium members (and their guests) recieve priority registration and discount of $5-$10
